Charting a Path Forward: Psychedelics Perspective

This past week, three critical scientists from various backgrounds were invited to give their expertise and perspective on psychedelic research. These presentations have been compiled and uploaded to our podcast!


In addition to sharing these talks, we also wanted to share Alaina's slides & some information on the wonderful research going on by Dr. Devenot and Dr. Bedi.

For more about Dr. Devenot's work:

Dr. Devenot is a Senior Lecturer at Johns Hopkins in the University Writing Program. They have a background in health humanities, psychedelic bioethics and comparative literature. Their research examines changes to selfconcept alongside the function of metaphor and other devices in narrative accounts of psychedelic experiences. Most recently, Devenot has focused their work on a humanities approach to understanding bioethical issues in psychedelic-assisted therapy.

For more about Dr. Bedi's work:

Dr. Gillinder Bedi is a Senior Research Fellow at Orygen, an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, and a clinical psychologist. She has been focused on characterizing MDMA for over 20 years, starting with her PhD work. Her current work include mechanistic studies of neurobehavioral processes underlying substance use disorders, trials of medications for cannabis use disorder and methamphetamine use disorder in young people, a trial of an early intervention for young people with co-occurring mental illness and substance use, and studies focusing on MDMA-assisted psychotherapy.
